Cory likes motorcycles.
Before anyone wants to start preaching to us about the dangers, which are plenty, let me just say that it's in his blood and his mind cannot be changed.
For instance, when we moved up here we took one measley trailer with a weight limit. The mister insisted that we bring his dad's 600 lb. old bike. I mean it had to come even if it meant leaving all my holiday decorations, which we did.
Now comes the photo.
And now comes the silly story.
When we got back to Halifax this summer Cory had to do some work on the bike, and Lo had to help. So to get the battery back in action he took her on a little spin up our road and in a parking lot. We are talking 90 seconds of riding. And then of course a little photo shoot cause they are just so darned cute.
Well later that night we get a knock on the door and who do you guess is standing there? If you said 2 police officers, then you would be correct. And if you guessed that one of them had his hand on his gun then you would be a psychic.
They proceed to tell Cory that they had received a call that there was a man driving around on a motorcycle with an infant in his lap and NO ONE HAD ON HELMETS.
The cops were actually pretty cool about it and just told us the laws about helmets and that it is beyond illegal to have a baby on a bike like that and we could get fined a gagillion dollars if it happened again.
Awesome.
Like we go on cross country trips with our wee one strapped to our laps. And even if we did, who is the oh so concerned citizen in our neighborhood who took the time to call and tell where we lived? If they had that much info don't you think they would have seen that it was simply just a joy ride, not an excursion? People sleigh me.
But at least we got a cutie pie little photo out of it all.
